Enabling and disabling NIS
You can use the Edit NIS Settings dialog box to enable and disable NIS on your storage system. NIS is disabled by default.
Steps 
1.
From Home, click the appropriate storage system to display a subtree of management features.
2.
Click Configuration > Network > NIS.
3.
Click Edit.
4.
Select the Enable NIS check box and click OK or clear the Enable NIS check box and click OK.
